Our Vision for a New Benefits Framework
Portable
Benefits should be connected to the individual so workers can move from platform to platform without interruption or loss of funding. Read more here.
Proportional
Benefits like healthcare stipends and access to PTO/leave should be available in proportion to how much workers choose to work.
Flexible
Allow workers to choose the benefits they want or need, accounting for the different ways people work with app-based platforms like DoorDash.

National Urban League Financial Empowerment Program
Through our partnership with the National Urban League Dashers can enroll in free on-demand courses on financial topics like savings, investing, credit, and auto financing.
UnidosUS Caminos Financial Empowerment
Through Caminos, eligible Dashers anywhere in the United States can receive remote online financial coaching, available in both English and Spanish, to support them as they pursue their financial goals.
Dasher Financial Empowerment in Canada
DoorDash has established partnerships with leading organizations in Canada like WoodGreen Community Services and ABC Life Literacy to increase access to financial literacy for Canadian Dashers.
Empowering Veterans
We’ve partnered with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs to empower homeless and formerly homeless Veterans to become financially self-sufficient.
International Rescue Committee
We’ve partnered with the International Rescue Committee to support immigrant and refugee communities to access financial resources and earning opportunities.
Dasher Councils
Dasher Community Council
Launched in 2019, the Dasher Community Council (DCC) is a diverse group of nine Dashers that works to ensure that all Dashers feel valued, included, and appreciated.
Canadian Dasher Community Council
Launched in 2021, the Canadian Dasher Community Council is composed of a diverse set of Dashers from across Canada, advocating on behalf of the Dasher community.
