DoorDash is proud to partner with Zoomo, a global leader in electric bicycles, to launch an innovative pilot in Toronto to provide safe e-bike rentals at a discounted rate to Toronto Dashers.
The “Dash to Deals” pilot will be offering up to 100 Toronto Dashers sliding discounted rental rates on their e-bikes, dropping as the number of deliveries they complete goes up. Dashers making 60 or more deliveries per week can rent a Zoomo e-bike for as little as $14 weekly, a discount of more than 70% off the regular rental rate.
“This partnership with Zoomo is about giving Dashers more options and flexibility when it comes to making deliveries and boosting their earnings,” says Brian Kaufmann, Head of Policy for DoorDash Canada. “By increasing their access to affordable and reliable transportation options, ‘Dash to Deals’ is empowering Dashers to earn more while keeping them safe on the road.”
All Dashers, no matter how many trips they make, can rent a Zoomo e-bike for $34, a standing discount of $15 off the regular rate. Dashers who make more than 20 deliveries in a week will see that weekly rate drop to $29; at 40 or more deliveries weekly rental rates fall to $24. All rental plans include a certified bike, battery and charger, servicing and repairs, GPS tracking, U-Lock, phone holder, and access to Zoomo’s mobile app.

DoorDash provides Dashers with resources like guides to bike safety and hosts Dasher events that share resources and provide tips, pointers and equipment promoting bike safety. DoorDash also promotes safety with more effective mapping and routing, bolstering battery safety with education resources and creating opportunities to access safe devices — like the Zoomo initiative.
Zoomo’s fully certified e-bikes provide a reliable solution, featuring UL-certified batteries, remote bike locking and anti-theft systems, allowing Dashers to focus on their deliveries with confidence. Zoomo vehicles also feature a 17Ah battery with a six-hour life, integrated GPS to locate the bike at any time, secure phone holder, hydraulic brakes, front and rear lights and rear rack that can carry up to 25 kilograms.
