The 9-to-5 grind just wasn’t working for Julie anymore.
“I was tired of working for a salary and taking orders from owners,” she says. “I decided to leave general management, and I came to DoorDash.”
“DoorDash gives me the independence to work on my own at the speed I like, which is pretty quick.”
“DoorDash gives me the independence to work on my own at the speed I like, which is pretty quick,” Julie explains. “I love to be able to dash anywhere. I’m going to make money wherever I choose to go in my car and drive.”
Dashing isn’t always a solo effort for Julie. Her high-school-age daughter joins occasionally, and they make the most of the experience.
“We get to share those one-on-one conversations in the car while listening to music and making money,” she says.
The extra cash has come in very handy. Julie says her “goal this summer is to take my daughter to California—all on DoorDash money that I make.”
“It doesn’t matter where I am. If there’s dash available, you’re going to see me out there.”
“I dash everywhere,” says Julie. “If I am in my hometown, I’ll Dash. If I’m going to be going on vacation in another state or another city, I will dash. It doesn’t matter where I am. If there’s dash available, you’re going to see me out there.”
