As costs continue to rise and bad policies pile up, Seattle’s small businesses are facing a crisis. DoorDash is committed to supporting the local business community during these challenges, which is why we’re so proud to partner with the Seattle Latino Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce (SLMCC), in collaboration with the Washington Hospitality Association, to sponsor 23 scholarships to help local businesses join the Chamber and experience the benefits of this kind of organization.
After successfully launching this initiative and adding 23 local businesses to our first cohort, DoorDash was awarded the Corporate Excellence Award for Diversity and Inclusion of the Latino Community by the SLMCC.
This partnership not only gives local business owners access to education, the opportunity to utilize collective resources, and the ability to expand their networks and share critical knowledge, it also allows them to speak as one voice when advocating for themselves with local policymakers. With Seattle continuing to impose costly regulations on local businesses, it’s more important than ever that their voices are heard.
