DoorDash Welcomes Tim Castree as Chief Marketing Officer

DoorDash announced today that Tim Castree has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer, effective May 18, 2026.

Tim joins DoorDash at a moment when we are continuing to expand how customers engage with our platform beyond restaurants and food delivery. Throughout his career, Tim has helped global brands build deeper, broader relationships with customers by meeting them where they are in their brand journey, in ways that feel locally relevant and useful.

Tim is a seasoned marketing leader who has spent his career building global marketing organizations that drive real business results. Most recently, he led EU Prime and Marketing at Amazon, overseeing brand, performance, and growth marketing across more than 15 markets. Before that, he built and led large global marketing organizations at GroupM and Wavemaker, working with some of the world's most recognized consumer brands.

What sets Tim apart is his ability to combine global scale with local relevance. While customer needs are often universal, Tim understands that the way consumers experience brands is deeply shaped by local culture, expectations, and competitive market dynamics. He has spent his career helping brands build consistent global narratives while making them feel authentic and locally resonant, market by market.

Tim also brings deep experience helping brands evolve beyond a single-category relationship with customers. As DoorDash continues expanding our local commerce platform, he understands the importance of bringing customers along in that journey, showing up in the right moments with experiences and storytelling that reflect how people actually live and what they need in everyday life.

Alongside his customer and brand instincts, Tim brings strong commercial rigor and operational experience to DoorDash. He is equally fluent in brand and performance marketing and has a strong track record of connecting creativity, storytelling, and marketing investment to measurable business outcomes across large global organizations. He brings values that are authentic to our culture: a bias for action, deep curiosity, a grounded and customer-first approach to leadership, and a genuine passion for using creativity to solve business problems.

Tim's arrival follows the planned departure of Kofi Amoo-Gottfried, who spent seven years building DoorDash's marketing function into a best-in-class, industry-awarded organization before making the personal decision to step back to spend more time with his family. Kofi was closely involved in the search and will stay through May to support the transition.
