Since launching our rewards program earlier this year, we heard clear feedback from Dashers that they wanted more flexible ways to access it.
That’s why this week, we’re starting to pilot our new Overall Dasher Rating that will give Dashers more accessibility when it comes to our rewards program, and more flexibility on ways to deliver high-quality service and maintain their rewards status over time.
This pilot is available in a limited number of markets, and we’re eager to get feedback from Dashers before scaling this more broadly.
Earlier this year, we launched our new Dasher Rewards program based on feedback that we heard time and time again from the Dasher community. We consolidated existing programs to create a rewards program that was easier to understand, more transparent in the Dasher app, and was more inclusive – three all-new tiers, with different metrics required to gain access to each.
Since launching, we’ve continued to listen to feedback from Dashers, who have told us that they want the rewards program to have more flexibility and optionality. Simply put, every Dasher is different – some are more interested in taking every offer that comes their way, while others may be more selective based on their personal criteria. No matter the individual circumstances, we believe that if you deliver exceptionally high quality for consumers and merchants, you should be rewarded.
That’s why today, in select markets, we’re piloting an all-new Overall Dasher Rating to qualify Dashers for our Rewards program.
Here’s how it works: In this pilot, the Overall Dasher Rating uses a composite score that ranges from 0 to 100, and gives Dashers a point value based on four metrics that are each weighted differently:
Acceptance Rate (25 points)
Completion Rate (35 points)
On-Time Rate (30 points)
Customer Rating (10 points)
A Dasher’s total Overall Dasher Rating score will inform which Rewards tier they’re eligible for:
Silver: 60 - 64 points
Gold: 65 - 74 points
Platinum: 75 - 100 points
This new rating makes our Rewards program more flexible and more accessible by empowering Dashers to earn Rewards tiers in different ways. Here’s an example of how two Dashers with different metrics can gain access to rewards:
With an Overall Dasher Rating of 75, both of these Dashers will unlock Platinum level, but the ways that they earned these points are completely different.
You can learn more about the Overall Dasher Rating here and more about our Rewards tiers here. This is currently a limited pilot in select markets, and we’re excited to engage directly with Dashers for their feedback before determining whether to scale more broadly.
