At DoorDash, our mission has always been to grow and empower local economies  — part of that is providing support to the communities we serve in times of crisis. As devastating floods continue to impact areas of Texas, we are committed to standing with affected families, Dashers, and local businesses as they navigate this unimaginably difficult time.

Delivering Support Through Community Credits

In response to the recent flooding that has disrupted lives throughout the state, we’re contributing $100,000 in DoorDash gift cards through our Community Credits program to local nonprofit organizations that are leading on-the-ground recovery from the disaster. These gift cards will help alleviate some of the immediate burdens around access to food, groceries, and essentials for the community. We’ll also be donating relief supplies from local DashMart locations to further support these nonprofits.

Matching Orders With Local Contributions

To further support recovery efforts, DoorDash will make a $1 contribution for every order from Texas merchants, up to $250,000, to The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country’s Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, which is supporting first responders, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations working on the flood relief and recovery efforts. This initiative helps amplify the impact of every order from our Texas community by directing resources to the organizations making a difference on the ground.

Supporting Local Businesses & Dashers

We know that this flooding has severely disrupted the livelihoods of so many in the immediate and surrounding area. Local businesses and Dashers in the region will be eligible to apply for relief fund grants. To learn more and apply, visit our Local Business Disaster Relief Fund and Dasher Relief Fund.

This is a challenging moment for many in Texas, and we remain committed to being a partner in recovery. We’ll continue to work with local leaders, nonprofits, and community members to assess evolving needs and deliver support where it’s most needed.

To our Texas community: We’re here for you.
