This holiday season and throughout the year, DoorDash makes a meaningful impact by giving back to the Canadian communities we serve through our Community Credits program.

The Community Credits program empowers non-profit organizations with gift cards to help more Canadians access meals, groceries, and essential items during challenging times. These credits offer critical support to vulnerable individuals and families, making the holiday season brighter for those in need.

During this year’s holiday season, DoorDash is providing $25,000 in community credits for non-profit organizations across Canada including: Burnaby Neighborhood House in Burnaby, British Columbia; Seva Food Bank in Mississauga, Ontario; Cross Roads for Women in Moncton, New Brunswick; Winnipeg Christmas Cheer Board and Bruce Oake Recovery Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. These holiday donations round out over $100,000 worth of donations supporting 21 Canadian non-profits in 2024 to help tackle food insecurity across the country.

“DoorDash is committed to supporting the communities we serve, and the Community Credits program is one way we’re able to make a difference,” said Brian Kaufmann, Head of Policy for DoorDash Canada. “By partnering with incredible organizations across Canada, we’re ensuring that families and individuals have access to the essentials they need during this special time of year. We will continue our fight against food insecurity in 2025 and beyond.”

"We are deeply grateful for the support provided by DoorDash through their Community Credits program,” said Vipin Saini, Executive Director of Seva Food Bank. “Their contribution has allowed us to stock our shelves with essential items, ensuring that families in our community facing food insecurity can access the support they need, especially during the holiday season. Partnerships like this help us continue our mission of serving those in need with dignity and compassion."

“Thanks to Door Dash’s Community Credits program we were able to get gift cards out into the hands of hamper families with kids aged 15-17. This is an age group that we have not been able to support in years past due to budget constraints,” said Shawna Bell, Executive Director of the Christmas Cheer Board of Winnipeg. “We don’t want anyone to feel left behind over the holidays and Door Dash helped us make the holidays a bit brighter for teens this year.
