Consumers Are Shopping Across More Categories

  • With 99% of DoorDash users in the U.S. having access to a non-restaurant retailer, consumers are turning to DoorDash for more than just takeout. In December of last year, 1 in 4 consumers* placed an order from a grocery, retail, alcohol, or convenience store on the platform.

  • This Valentine’s Day, grocery and retail sales grew by more than 50% and more than half of all orders included holiday essentials like flowers, chocolates, and fragrances. Demand for flowers soared on Valentine’s Day with 350,000 bouquets delivered nationwide and over 20,000 make-up flower orders placed the day after Valentine’s Day.

Alcohol Delivery Continues to Surge

  • Alcohol selection on DoorDash now boasts over 80 million products across thousands of merchants nationwide. New Year’s Eve was the busiest day in 2024 for alcohol delivery on DoorDash, and on Valentine’s Day 2025, wine orders nearly doubled year-over-year.

  • With the growth of consumer demand, more merchants are joining DoorDash: Throughout 2024, the DoorDash Marketplace saw a 15% increase in the number of merchants selling alcohol in the U.S. and 40% growth in liquor stores available on the platform in the U.S.
