DoorDash, the local commerce platform, today announced new merchants across the nation that accept SNAP/EBT payments on the DoorDash Marketplace, including Wakefern Food Corp. (ShopRite, The Fresh Grocer, Price Rite Marketplace, Fairway Market, and Gourmet Garage banners), Southeastern Grocers (Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie stores), and BJ’s Wholesale Club. These partners join several other grocers and convenience stores that offer SNAP/EBT payment capabilities on DoorDash, including Albertsons, ALDI, Safeway, Sheetz, and Walgreens. As part of DoorDash’s commitment to reducing hunger nationwide, DoorDash brings more online grocery delivery options to the approximately 1.8 million consumers who have added their SNAP/EBT cards to DoorDash.

“Since launching support for SNAP/EBT payments in 2023, our network of stores that accept SNAP/EBT online payments on the DoorDash Marketplace has grown to over 15,000 across the United States,” said Fuad Hannon, VP of New Verticals at DoorDash. “We’re proud to offer online grocery delivery to SNAP beneficiaries, helping them access fresh, affordable food regardless of their circumstances – whether they face time constraints, limited transportation, or mobility challenges. The addition of SNAP/EBT payments to these partners on DoorDash underscores our ongoing commitment to breaking down barriers to food access nationwide.”

The expansion of SNAP/EBT payment capabilities on DoorDash through these retailers brings SNAP-eligible consumers across the nation increased access to on-demand grocery delivery. Whether it's stocking up on pantry essentials or selecting fresh produce and cuts of meat for a family dinner, SNAP recipients can find what they need on DoorDash from their local Wakefern Food Corp. banner store, Harveys Supermarket, Winn-Dixie, or BJ's Wholesale Club.

As one of the largest online marketplaces to offer SNAP/EBT recipients access to grocery delivery across the country, 93% of monthly active consumers on DoorDash have access to at least one store accepting SNAP on the platform. Without delivery, one in eight SNAP recipients on DoorDash would skip making some of their grocery purchases entirely, according to consumers surveyed in DoorDash’s report How Online Grocery Delivery with SNAP Broadens Food Access Across the U.S.

To make online grocery delivery even more affordable, DoorDash also recently introduced a new, one-year discounted DashPass plan for SNAP/EBT recipients. Eligible consumers who sign up for the plan can enjoy one year of DashPass benefits – like $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees on eligible orders, exclusive offers, and more – for just $4.99/month.*

To order SNAP-eligible groceries from the merchants announced today, customers who use SNAP/EBT benefits on DoorDash can find their local store in the DoorDash app.

*DashPass benefits apply only to eligible orders from DashPass merchants that meet the minimum subtotal requirement, excluding fees and taxes. Subtotal minimums will be identified on DoorDash for each DashPass eligible merchant. Other fees (including service fee), taxes, and gratuity still apply. To be eligible to receive the promotional $4.99/month DashPass pricing for one year, you must have placed an order on DoorDash and paid for that order with a valid SNAP/EBT card within six (6) months prior to signing up for this offer. After the first year of $4.99/month DashPass pricing, you will be charged the then-current full DashPass renewal price (plus applicable taxes) automatically on a recurring monthly or annual basis (based on the plan you select) until you cancel. The DashPass membership fee may be charged to any payment method in your DoorDash account. DashPass terms here and cancellation instructions here.
