New Verticals

DoorDash's growth in grocery and retail is rooted in one idea: when local businesses have access to more customers, they grow and thrive. By connecting consumers to a wide range of neighborhood stores, we help merchants expand their reach and drive incremental sales. From weekly staples to special occasions, we make it easier for local businesses to meet demand in real time. We’re proud that in 2025, DoorDash became the leading third-party marketplace in order volume across grocery and retail in the US,* giving merchants access to significant consumer demand across everyday shopping categories.

How Scale Translates Into Merchant Growth

  • Merchant momentum continued in 2025, with new partnerships including Kroger, 33 additional grocery partners nationwide, and multiple new retail partners such as DSW, Family Dollar, and Old Navy, expanding reach for local, regional, and national retailers on the Marketplace.

  • On Valentine’s Day weekend this year, over one-third of online flower delivery orders were placed on DoorDash,** demonstrating how DoorDash helps merchants capture high-intent seasonal demand at scale.

  • Grocery shopping via DoorDash was made available on ChatGPT, enabling consumers to go from meal inspiration to a full cart and fast delivery from local and national grocers in just minutes, helping merchants reach consumers earlier in their shopping journey.

Bringing New Consumers Into Online Commerce

  • Third-party data shows that DoorDash has one of the highest shares of New to Industry consumers across grocery and retail.*** When consumers try online shopping for routine purchases for the first time, DoorDash is often where they start.

  • With Kroger’s launch in 2025, DoorDash now partners with six of the ten largest food retailers on Progressive Grocer’s list of Top 100 in North America. In 2025 and during the start of 2026, DoorDash added 33 new U.S. grocery partners, from local favorites like Citarella and Mollie Stone’s to regional leaders such as Schnucks and Northeast Grocers. Multiple retail partners also joined the DoorDash Marketplace in 2025, including DSW, Family Dollar, Old Navy, and PacSun, expanding selection across footwear, apparel, and affordable essentials.

  • DoorDash has also expanded SNAP/EBT payment for on-demand delivery with retailers including Dierbergs Markets, Lowes Foods, New Seasons Market, Rouses Markets, Wegmans Food Markets, Inc., and Weis Markets, with more than 50,000 stores where consumers can pay with SNAP/EBT for on-demand delivery.

Seasonal Demand Drives Incremental Sales

  • Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day are the busiest days for floral deliveries on DoorDash. This Valentine’s Day weekend, over one-third of online flower delivery orders were placed on DoorDash.**

  • In 2025, on each of Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, consumers placed more than one million grocery, convenience, retail, and alcohol orders on DoorDash in the United States.

Expanding Offerings and Use Cases

  • DoorDash introduced new offerings in 2025, including apparel, toys and games, books, sexual wellness, and more. With over 30% of monthly active users shopping across retail and grocery in the US,**** and tens of thousands of retail stores available on DoorDash in the US, consumers are increasingly shopping across multiple categories in a single order.

  • As more consumers turn to ChatGPT to discover recipes, plan meals, and find cooking inspiration, DoorDash is extending that convenience into grocery by enabling its extensive selection and on-demand logistics directly within the DoorDash app in ChatGPT, making grocery shopping faster, easier, and more seamless from inspiration to checkout.

At its core, DoorDash is built to support everyday commerce, helping merchants grow while expanding choice and access across local communities everywhere.
